The Head Instructor and owner of Mills Martial Arts™, Mr. Mills, is currently a fifth-degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He holds rank of Sandan (3rd degree Black belt) in Japanese JuJitsu as well. He has more than twenty five years of experience in the martial arts, having studied a variety of styles, including BJJ, Aikido, Thai boxing, and others.
Mr. Mills has many years of teaching experience with all age groups. In addition to the studio classes, he runs after-school enrichment programs for some local elementary and middle schools.
He is a graduate of University of Maryland, College Park. He attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. During his years of training, he assisted teaching at many local schools, including Elizabeth Seton, OLGC, Bullis, and several others. He has run seminars, presentations, classes, and demos in affiliation with Holy Cross Hospital and Montgomery County Govt. These have included Bethesda Senior Source, Ryderwood Village, Twinbrook Elementary, Meadow Hall Elementary, and Parkland Middle School, among many others.
In addition to teaching martial arts, Mr. Mills has extensive experience as a substitute teacher at local schools, grades K-8.
Mr. Mills and his wife are the proud parents of three wonderful children.
